Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one.” Benjamin Franklin

I have always wondered Nasir saab, how can 5 people justify living in a 27 storey building (Antilia)and lack the conscience that over 1 million people will be displaced when the 1 km square slum in Dharavi Mumbai is demolished to allow for more Antilia type buldings? Meri samaj meh nahin aati..
ReplyDeleteYes, it is said that Antilia is the costliest private building in the world and which will be the residence of the Indian businessman, Mukesh Ambani. Here's where I admire the likes of Billy Gates, Warrent Buffet and others who have provided a substantial portion of their income for charity purposes.
ReplyDeleteVeen, I believe that we should not wrack our brains over it. All this will go on. Remember Alexander the Great? He conquered the whole known world of his time. When he died, his hands, it is said, were left out of the grave to signify that he took nothing of this world with him. That's a great lesson for all us there. Death is a great leveller! Now that's very satisfying to know. We need to cheer up and give thanks for the small mercies we have.
